Nine movements, three voices, eight seams. Each seam below names its device and its predicted compatibility index. Density breathes; one h1; one gate.

Mechanism

Why voices modulate
only at boundaries.

A section speaks one dialect. The page is allowed to change dialect between sections, and that change is where the eye needs a device: a rule, a step to another plane, a texture change, or a repeated motif. Inside a section nothing licenses two voices.

Three modulation patterns are sanctioned by measurement — strict alternation, short A fragments between F sections, and a recurring motif as the seam — and three are not: voice framing, property bridging, intra-section splits.

Specimen

The score as data.

A spec table inside a frame: the product register on the band plane, mono heads, dashed rails, one working row.

The gate is the fortissimo. Place it two-thirds through, and never twice.
